Director of Weight Loss Programming

Molly Wangsgaard joined the Cooper Clinic team in 2015 as the Director of Weight Loss Programming. She is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Because of her passion for helping people feel better and improving their quality of life, Molly specializes in weight management, heart health, wellness and sports nutrition. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and actively participates in the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group, where she has held various leadership positions.

Molly graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Human Nutrition and Kinesiology from Kansas State University and earned a Master of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech. Upon completing her dietetic internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center she joined the staff as a clinical dietitian. There she became the program dietitian for the Center for Surgical Weight Loss and was the sports dietitian for Vanderbilt’s athletic department. Leaving Tennessee for California, Molly spent more than seven years working in program development at the corporate office of Jenny Craig and then Curves Jenny Craig.

After growing up in Iowa and moving around the country multiple times, Molly is happy to be settled in Texas near her family. She stays busy keeping up with her young twins, Luke and Noelle, exercising, teaching Sunday school and spending time with her husband, Jeff.
