Martial Arts Pro Mike Proctor brings more than 50 years of martial arts experience to Cooper Fitness Center. He is a 10th Degree Black Belt and founding member of the Texas Black Belt Commission. He also serves on the board of the Fellowship of Christian Martial Artists, Gospel Martial Arts Union (GMAU) and the American Karate and Tae Kwon Do Organization.

For children (ages 5+) and adults

$125/month for non-members

Mike's martial arts instruction includes:

  • Karate – A traditional Japanese martial art for all ages
  • Jujitsu – The art of grappling, throws, locks and manipulation of the body
  • Kobudo – “The Ancient Way” of Okinowan/Japanese weapons
  • Tai Chi – The Chinese art that promotes strength, balance, range of motion and serenity of mind through flowing movements
  • Kickboxing – An intense aerobic workout that burns calories and increases flexibility
  • Self-Defense – Practical training in both mental and physical aspects of modern defensive tactics

Boxing and Martial Arts Mini Camp
Monday, Jan. 16 | Noon-2 p.m.
Ages 8-14 | $60

Focused on building confidence and self-esteem and teaching basic self-defense skills, the Boxing and Self-Defense Mini Camp is a fun, active learning experience for ages 8-14. In a small group, participants will train with Boxing Pro Derrick James and Martial Arts Pro Mike Proctor in fitness and self-defense activities. Register online.
