Board Certified in Preventive Medicine
Dr. Michele Kettles is Chief Medical Officer and a preventive medicine physician at Cooper Clinic. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Jefferson College and a Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Kettles completed her internal medicine internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., and her residency at the University of Kentucky. She is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
Her military service in the U.S. Navy includes serving as Medical Department Head on the USS Canopus in King's Bay, Ga., and as Director of Clinical Services at the Naval Air Station Branch Medical Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. Dr. Kettles co-authored Women's Health and Fitness Guide (Human Kinetics, 2007) and has a special medical interest in osteoporosis.
