Nina Salhab, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist at Cooper Clinic, has more than 20 years of nutrition and wellness counseling experience. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, participating in Practice Groups: Pediatrics and Weight Loss. She specializes in pediatric and adolescent nutrition, renal nutrition, dialysis, transplantation and weight management.
Nina received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from American University of Beirut. She completed her dietetic internship at the University of Memphis, where she also earned her master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition. Nina completed a dietetic residency at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
Prior to joining Cooper Clinic as a part time dietitian in 2005, Nina worked at Children’s Health in Dallas. She continued her work there as a pediatric renal dietitian until 2015.
Nina also works as a private consultant with several pediatricians in the Dallas area, where she provides nutrition counseling for patients who need help with weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hyperlipidemia, digestive disorders, food allergies as well as renal disease including dialysis and transplantation.
Nina and her husband, Wally, share many interests including their passion for children, skiing and biking. They also love traveling with their two children, Reem-Marie, a student at University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and Stephan, a student at Cistercian Preparatory School.
