Fuel Your Morning Workout with Our PrOATein Bites Recipe

  • 1 cups almond flour or almond meal
  • 1/2 cups oats 
  • 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/8 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar or sugar substitute 
  • 2 egg whites 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 scoop protein powder


  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar, applesauce and protein powder.
  3. Gradually beat the egg into the butter and sugar mixture.
  4. Add the almond flour, salt, vanilla and baking soda in with the other ingredients and mix well.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a non-stick baking pan.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the cookies rise and the edges have browned.

(Makes about 12 cookies)
