Cooper Clinic Offers Virtual Weight Loss Programs

Medically-supervised program offers three ways to achieve long term weight loss

 

DALLAS – January 30, 2021 – Cooper Clinic announces a virtual, comprehensive, medically-supervised Cooper Weight Loss program within its Nutrition Services department. The six-month customizable program, available to the public, combines nutrition, fitness, psychology and behavioral change to help individuals lose weight while gaining health. Once participants are vetted by Dr. Hebert and the Cooper Weight Loss team, the program is customized for each participant to meet individual health goals, develop healthy habits for life and achieve long-term weight loss.

Each of the three Cooper Weight Loss program options offer an initial comprehensive assessment with the following:

  • Consultation with Cooper Clinic physician
  • Consultation with a registered dietitian nutritionist
  • Three-day food record analysis
  • Functional movement screening with an exercise physiologist and
  • Consultation with a licensed professional counselor

Additional components offered with the In-person and Virtual Plus tiers provide a baseline Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test to measure individual calorie needs, blood work and DEXA scan to measure precise body composition.

Opportunities to focus on exercise are provided within all three tiers of the program with on demand group exercise classes. In-person participants also receive a complimentary six-month membership to Cooper Fitness Center, plus options to work with Cooper Fitness Center Professional Fitness Trainers in private sessions or as part of a group setting with our Female Focus group training program. Virtual and Virtual Plus participants receive a Withings Wi-fi scale to track their weight loss remotely and exercise tools to use while working out at home.
