Seasoned Fitness Executive Paul Wright Joins DAC Amarillo Team

DALLAS (November 1, 2021) – Cooper Wellness Strategies announces the addition of Paul Wright as General Manager of the Downtown Athletic Club (DAC), powered by Cooper Aerobics, in Amarillo, TX. He will manage onsite facility operations and programs including member engagement programs, CooperFit cardiovascular fitness assessments and Cooper® Tracks individualized exercise and education programs, at the 45,000-square-foot full-service DAC fitness facility. “We are pleased to welcome Paul Wright to our team,” said Margaret Hodge, Owner and President of the Downtown Athletic Club. “Paul has more than four decades of strong credentials with a proven leadership record as GM of two upscale fitness facilities, as well as a passion for the health and fitness industry.”

Prior to joining Cooper, Wright worked for the State of California as a health and safety analyst, evaluating and implementing health, safety and wellness programs for the Injury and Illness Prevention Program. His 40-plus years of experience in the health and fitness industry are comprised of managing business development and providing health and wellness solutions in a variety of roles. This included 30 years focused on business development for Savvy Health Solutions, a business he founded to develop programming strategies for businesses and provide workplace wellness opportunities to their employees.

Wright is an honorary board member of the FUTURE Foundation of Sacramento. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education/Athletic Training from Eastern Washington University and completed graduate studies in Applied Exercise Physiology at Portland State University. Paul enjoys working out, playing golf and volunteering through his church. He looks forward to making Amarillo home with his wife, Susan.
