Andrew Gottesman, MD, Joins Cooper Clinic Practice

DALLAS (February 22, 2023) – Cooper Clinic announces the addition of Dr. Andrew Gottesman as a gastroenterologist to its preventive medical practice. He leads the Gastroenterology department and provides comprehensive gastroenterology services—including preventive colonoscopies and endoscopies. Dr. Gottesman joins Cooper from his solo private gastroenterology practice of 30 years in Dallas. Visit cooper-clinic.com or call 972.560.2667 for additional information.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Andrew Gottesman to our Cooper Clinic team,” said Camron Nelson, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cooper Clinic. “Dr. Gottesman has worked part-time with us for the last three years providing personalized care to Cooper Clinic patients, and we’re excited to have him on our staff full-time. He is available for preventive upper endoscopy and colonoscopy screening procedures on-site and will lead our excellent Cooper Clinic Gastroenterology team in providing these important preventive services.”

Dr. Gottesman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, with an emphasis in political science and the humanities, from Vassar College in 1977. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch and completed an internal medicine internship and residency at University of Louisville. He then completed his medical training with a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Gottesman is certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

“Joining the Cooper Clinic preventive medical practice, where the gastroenterology practice exceeds the national standard, permits me the opportunity to continue providing individualized care to evaluate each patient’s gastroenterological needs,” said Andrew Gottesman. “I look forward to receiving the support of Cooper Clinic’s preventive medicine team of physicians to offer excellent patient care and superior service, as I consider caring for my patients and their families to be a true privilege.”

Dr. Gottesman is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association. Dr. Gottesman has received the Best Doctor designation from D Magazine annually since 2006 and was selected as a Texas Super Doctor in gastroenterology since 2013. He enjoys hiking, camping and spending time with his wife, with whom he resides in Dallas.

Colonoscopy and endoscopy are offered as add-on services to Cooper Clinic’s standard preventive medical exam. Visit cooper-clinic.com to learn more.
